Streamline Video Creations: History

Steve Bassett began his television broadcasting and production career in 1971 at WIS-TV/10 in Columbia, South Carolina. Following a three-year hitch in the U.S. Army and enrolled as a journalism major at the University of South Carolina, Bassett landed a part-time position in the sports department as a sports photographer, editor and writer with South Carolina's top-rated TV station. He spent the next 10 years full-time in the sports broadcasting business. When he opened his company in 1990 following both a television production and association management career he was well positioned to provide professional quality video production services to the business community.

Steve has written and produced hundreds of stories and corporate videos during his more than 35 years in the TV production business and earned six international awards and one Emmy nomination for his work.

In 2005, along with his son Brian who is an award-winning television producer in his own right, the duo unveiled Streamline Video Creations -- the video production arm of The Communications Workshop, LLC. Using only top-of-the-line videography, editing, sound and lighting equipment, Streamline Video Creations provides high quality productions for marketing, sales, advocacy and training to corporations throughout the Washington/Baltimore area.

Imagine the Possibilities!

Imagine having your product demonstration video or company promo "broadcast" around the globe on the Internet with equal or greater effectiveness as what television offers.

Imagine holding a sales conference call meeting with one or many prospective buyers or a news conference with media from around the world and showcasing your product or service via streaming video on your web site at the same time.

Imagine being able to send to prospects or clients an interactive DVD with a series of video stories about your company, it's people, your products and services, testimonials from satisfied customers, product demonstrations, an interview with your CEO, and much more that they can watch at their leisure on their television set or computer screen.

Imagine creating a new web site and showing company highlights and product demonstrations -- updated as needed -- on a 24/7/365 basis.

Imagine the impact this new technology is having on marketing and sales.

The old days of video production are history. We no longer need over-the-air, cable or even satellite television to broadcast images into homes and offices. This is a new era and it's all about effectively communicating marketing ideas and sales approaches by interactive DVD and "TV on the Internet." It's a new strategy for producing quality "visual" products and even more important to marketing, sales, training and educational efforts than ever before. And it dramatically changes how we go about the entire video production process.

Just imagine the possibilities!

There are times when the right idea comes along and it just happens to be at the right time and under the right circumstances. Perhaps the planets move into alignment or the dots get connected. Whatever it is, it is so compelling that it demands attention and action.

This is one of those times.

Since 1990, The Communications Workshop, LLC has produced quality corporate video products for marketing, sales, educational, and training. Our clients have included organizations like the National Rehabilitation Hospital In Washington, DC, major advocacy and lobbying groups such as the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Helicopter Association International (HAI), and International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW), leading aviation companies such as Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters and Scenic Airlines, sports and recreation organizations including the Columbia Association and the Washington Capitals professional hockey club, as well as Goodwill Industries, League of Women Voters, and many others. Our productions have captured five national Telly Awards and The Communicator Award.

The entire concept of video productions is being transformed by digital videography and editing formats, and with DVDs and the World Wide Web now serving as modern-day delivery platforms - it's all about "TV on the Internet."

There is no question that video-based products significantly enhance a company's marketing and sales efforts. A well-produced video communications product has become a staple in the marketing and sales strategy for many successful companies. Video products also are ideal for education and training. But, in today's 21st century technological environment, using video products to market, sell, educate and train takes on a far different meaning than ever before.

DVDs as a delivery platform for video products dramatically alters how we look at producing video. Add to that the utilization of the Internet as another platform to showcase our products through streaming video and the impact this is having to rapidly transform the entire communications process -- no matter what is being communicated -- is mind-boggling.

TV on the Internet. Think about it. We can now produce our own communications products whether we want them to be short commercial-type pieces, infomercials, customer testimonials, product demonstrations, virtual tours -- you name it -- and in a short period of time have it edited and "on the air" on the Internet for all to see.

Prospects can now see your new product or service or program simply by going to a web site and viewing it. You can showcase multiple products or services each with their own video communications product on the Internet. Need a piece changed or updated quickly, we can do it and have it back on the web site in short order. Want to have a conference call news conference with news media from around the world to introduce a new product? We put the product demo on video then up on the web and everyone can see it at the same time. Want to hold a sales event with many prospects at once and showcase your product? We can produce the video, put it on the Internet and your Web-Conference sales meeting is off and running.

Whether it is producing a video product for DVD distribution or for showcasing on the Internet, Streamline Video Creations is able to do it.

Don't stay behind the power curve on this one. Your competitors aren't!
